Although a house was burning down, everyone seemed really happy and mellow.
And people came from miles away just to see, uh, smell the fire.
You see, Lan Le, of Wadsworth, Ohio, was growing 239 marijuana plants in the basement of his home, and after his house caught fire, a funny smoke filled the air. A smoke that seemed to please everyone.
And strange things started happening. Some people started blurting out words like “Groovy” and “Far Out,” and others began dancing in the streets.
And when the firefighters arrived, the neighbors shouted in unison: “Let it burn!”
Then, out of nowhere, a reggae band showed up and started jamming.
“The house go up in smoke, smoke.”
“Give me another toke, toke…”
…were some of the improvised lyrics of the lead singer.
After a few hours, the fire died out; and for some strange reason, everyone started crying.
Very odd, indeed.
